Friends of Fremont Peak Park

Friends of Fremont Peak Park (FoFPP) is a neighborhood-based, unincorporated association founded in early 2001 to preserve a unique property as a community park. FoFPP is guided by a seven-member steering committee. Seattle Parks and Recreation is the major partner in the project, since it has contributed to acquisition and development funding, and has ultimate ownership and management of the now public park

FoFPP raised over $1.5 million to purchase the property at 4351 and 4357 Palatine Avenue N. in Fremont. We completed fundraising for the development of the park site, worked with landscape architects from the Seattle firm GGLO with artist Laura Haddad, and oversaw the construction phase. FoFPP has adopted the park, acting as stewards and assisting with maintenance and upkeep.

  • The Cascade Land Conservancy assisted with strategic advice on acquisition
  • The King Conservation District has provided numerous plants
  •  Our many volunteer supporters who have given time and money to the project and have pledged to continue the work
